NBA Trade Machine is a free, fan-made web application that allows users to simulate NBA trades and build hypothetical team lineups using publicly available salary cap data and rules from the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The Service is provided for entertainment and informational purposes only.

The Service does not facilitate, execute, or influence any actual NBA transactions.

3. No Affiliation with the NBA

NBA Trade Machine is an independent project created by basketball fans. We want to make this unambiguously clear:

• We are not affiliated with the National Basketball Association (NBA).
• We are not endorsed or sponsored by the NBA or any NBA team.
• We have no official connection to any NBA entity, player, or agent.
• Any use of team names, player names, or salary information is for informational and entertainment purposes only, based on publicly available data.

4. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to keep salary cap data, player information, and CBA rules as accurate and up-to-date as possible, we make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed on the Service. Data may contain errors, be outdated, or differ from official NBA records.

Trade validations are approximations based on our interpretation of publicly available CBA rules. They should not be relied upon for any official, professional, or financial decision-making.

5. User Conduct

When using the Service, you agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes.
• Not attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service's infrastructure.
• Not scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the Service without our permission.

6. Shared Trades & Lineups

When you save and share a trade or lineup, it is assigned a unique URL that anyone with the link can access. Shared trades and lineups:

• Are publicly accessible to anyone with the link.
• Do not contain personal information unless you choose to share the link yourself.
• May be removed at our discretion at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

The NBA Trade Machine application code and design are our property. NBA team names, player names, logos, and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here under fair use for informational and fan purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
